Update Instructions

Note: You must close the PHDWin program prior to installing version or build updates.

To update your build of PHDWin

  1. Download the new build from our website.
  2. When prompted to Open or Save the file, choose Save
    save-file
  3. Unzip the downloaded file in order to access the MSI file inside.
  4. Double click the MSI file to install the new build. Install the new build in the same directory as your old build (the installation wizard will automatically select this directory.)Note: No new license is required for build updates in the same version. Your existing license will automatically be recognized by the new build.

To update your version of PHDWin

  1. Download the new version from our website
  2. When prompted to Open or Save the file, choose Save.

  3. Unzip the downloaded file in order to access the MSI file inside.
  4. Double click the MSI file to install the new version. Begin running the installation wizard. We highly recommend you allow the default location to be chosen:

  5. Complete the installation.

Important: Updating the version of PHDWin requires a new license file. Click here to see instructions on how to request a new PHDWin license.

To determine the version/build of your PHDWin software

  1. Open PHDWin
  2. Click Help > Technical Support and Updates
  3. The information shown will include the version and build number of your PHDWin installation:
