Software Trainer

TRC Consultants is seeking a candidate for a software trainer / support position. Training and support will be for our software products and based in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Writing / updating curriculum for software training classes
- Creating lesson plans for customized training classes
- Teaching training classes in off-site offices and locations
- Documenting new products and maintaining existing documentation for TRC software.
- Answering phone calls, emails and on-site visits supporting of TRC software.

Strong candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:
- A bachelor's degree in communication, economics, finance, engineering, or mathematics
- Strong public communication / presentation skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Access
- A working knowledge of databases
- Knowledge of learning and educational theory and/or training experience
- A comfortable understanding of mathematics (algebra, geometry, and basic calculus)
- A comfortable understanding of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis
- A desire to travel domestically between 25-50% of the time.

Candidates will likely begin in a software support position to learn our software and theory and then advance into a trainer position. Experienced teachers and trainers with strong math skills are strongly encouraged to apply.

PHDWin software support and consulting position

TRC Consultants is seeking a candidate for a software support position. Support will be for TRC’s software products and based in Austin, Texas. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Interfacing with clients by phone, e-mail and in person to support software.
- Support software installation issues
- Support bug identification and tracking issues
- Support design of engineering/economics modeling within the software
- Tracking and identifying support intensive issues
- Proposing software solutions for support intensive issues
- Minimal travel required
- Travel and consulting opportunities exist with increased proficiency.

Strong candidates will exhibit the following characteristics:
- A bachelor's degree in communication, economics, finance, engineering, mathematics or similar.
- A comfortable understanding of mathematics (algebra, geometry, and basic calculus)
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience or familiarity with Crystal report, Access, is desired.
- A working knowledge of databases. Experience with SQL databases would be a benefit but is not required.
- Experience or familiarity with discounted cash flow analysis (DCF) and/or petroleum engineer/economics is desired but not required.
- Aries, OGRE, Peep or other petroleum economics/engineering experience would be a benefit but not required.

Candidates will begin in a software support position to learn our software and theory. A successful candidate may advance into a consulting position.
